Ever Thought About.....
When it comes to repair or simply choosing the right motorcycle, quality is first and foremost! Buy only the best quality motorcycle and motorcycle parts you can afford. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, it is critical to the motorcycles operation. Second, there is no need to save a few bucks on cheap and potentially defective parts. Never sacrifice quality. That’s the lesson you have to learn early on. Keep safe; use protective gear and apparel to protect you from head to toe. This includes a high quality motorcycle helmet, a quality jacket with armor in the joints and back, protective gloves, eyewear, protective pants, thick boots and the likes. Be sure they are durable and comfortable so as to withstand the pressure and momentum and elements when riding. Your body will be grateful if (or should I say when) it hits the pavement at 40mph.
It doesn’t matter if you own a Harley, Aprilia, MV Agusta, Moto Guzzi , Yamaha or an antique Vespa.
It is a great idea for you to you learn about the capacity of the different types of motorcycles and the variations of engine types (V-Twin vs. In-line four), and the drastic performance difference in sizes (250cc, 600cc, 1000cc, 1800cc, etc.). What is the difference, and which works best for your style of riding?
With any motorcycle, it’s smart to be familiar with all the different motorcycle parts, their function and distinction so as to understand their chemistry and importance, such as the motorcycle chassis, motorcycle brakes, wheels, clutch, the cylinders and combustion chamber. All play a vital role in the beautiful symphony of the motorcycle.
The more you know about your motorcycle and each little nuance unique to your bike, the better off you will be. Learn the physics behind riding; learn what every bike naturally wants to do in a hard lean, under stiff braking, and under hard acceleration. Then think how your particular bike performs under the same situations. Learn how to accurately set up the suspension for your particular body size, build and riding style.
Suspension is your only way to feel the pavement… suspension is crucial!!! No two people are alike and the bike MUST be adjusted to fit you! (See our section on ‘Suspension Setup’ under ‘Skills and Instruction’)
Read instructional books. Watch riding technique DVD’s. Ride with friends or groups, discussing techniques before, during and after your ride. What worked? What did it feel like? What didn’t work? Why didn’t it work? Ask questions!! IMPROVE!!! Fill your head with everything you can about motorcycles! Learn to Compliment the bike’s natural tendencies instead of fighting them; eventually, the positive riding techniques will become second nature. When you’re using the correct riding techniques it will feel effortless…. Not only will it be the most fun you’ve ever had on two wheels, but, you’ll be riding safer, smoother, and faster than you ever have before!

I am safer, smoother, and a hell of a lot faster, simply because of the principles taught in these books. These are the best investments I've bought for my bike to date. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
